SERVICE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations and invoices issued by Ridgeline Groundworks. By accepting a quotation or proceeding with works, the client agrees to be bound by the following terms:
1. Agreement to Terms
Acceptance of the quote, either in writing or via email, will constitute agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
Any instruction to commence work will also be deemed as acceptance of these terms.
2. Scope of Work
All work will be completed as detailed in the provided quotation. Any additional work requested by the client not included in the original quote will be subject to a separate estimate and written agreement.
3. Payment Terms
Full payment is due within 24 hours of completion of the agreed works unless otherwise stated in writing.
Invoices will be issued upon completion of the job (or per stage in larger projects).
Failure to make payment within the stated timeframe will incur a late payment fee of £25, plus interest charged at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily from the due date until payment is received in full.
4. Deposits & Staged Payments
For works over £1,000, a deposit may be required prior to commencement.
Staged payments may be requested for larger projects and will be clearly set out in the quote.
5. Access & Site Conditions
The client must ensure clear and safe access to the worksite during agreed working hours.
Any delays or additional costs caused by restricted access, hazardous conditions, or unforeseen obstacles may incur additional charges.
6. Delays & Cancellations
We reserve the right to reschedule or delay work due to adverse weather, material shortages, or unforeseen circumstances.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the agreed start date may incur a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the quoted amount to cover administrative and scheduling costs.
7. Warranties & Guarantees
All workmanship is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion, unless otherwise specified.
This guarantee does not cover materials (which are covered under manufacturer warranties), wear and tear, or damage caused by third parties or the client after completion.
8. Liability
Ridgeline Groundworks will carry out work with reasonable care and skill.
We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, damage, or expense arising from delays or faults unless caused by proven negligence.
9. Materials & Ownership
Materials supplied and installed remain the property of Ridgeline Groundworks until full payment is received.
We reserve the right to remove any materials not paid for within 30 days of invoice.
10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we will make every effort to resolve the matter informally. Failing that, the matter may be referred to an independent adjudicator or resolved under UK law.
11. Insurance
Ridgeline Contractors holds full public liability insurance. Documentation available upon request.
12. Site Access, Conditions & Underground Services
The client is responsible for ensuring safe and unobstructed access to the work area.
All underground services (gas, water, electricity, telecoms, drainage, etc.) must be clearly identified and marked prior to excavation.
While we take every precaution, we cannot be held liable for any damage caused to unmarked or unknown services during excavation works.
Any resulting delays, repairs, or associated costs due to unidentified or inaccurately marked services will be the responsibility of the client.
13. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. The version provided at the time of quotation will be the binding agreement for that job.
